I don't want to start this war again,
A cold moment between broken hearts.
I don't want to start this war again,
Memories, like all things, that fell apart.
All shades but one,
All shades but one,
And there I can stand,
All shades but one.
And I can't stay strong,
My mind's gone numb,
Fell for it once,
But never again.
And you, you stand there with that perfect smile.
With blood, running down from your god damn cheeks,
And you, you never thought you were beautiful,
You'd ask me, over and over and over again.
But I left until the end!
Why can't we go back to that time,
When we ran up and down mountains,
We climbed every height and the views were for miles.
I sang sweet kisses that day atop Olympus,
And of course you knew the words,
And every word you spoke took my breath away,
And every single second felt like years on the longest calender.
Can't we go back to following paper roads in the rain?
Can't we go back to that moment when you understood what the fuck it all meant?
It's like they take all the most beautiful parts of chaos and condense them in to five minute tracks. An overnight favourite local band we're keen to keep more than an eye on. edityourhometown

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
